Marcus' And Priscilla's Wedding 30 Jan 2010 Part 5 Afterthoughts

That's Ryan and I trying to give a really tired look. Okay, obviously failed. :)

But seriously we were really shagged out. But looking back at the day's events, I am really happy for Marcus and Priscilla....... Okay here goes the really emo part.......

Marcus,
I really do believe you have found yourself a gem, a rare one for that matter. Though I may not know Prisci very well, for the few times I have interacted with her and from what I have gathered from you, Prisci really is a good gal. I only knew more about her family background when I went with you to pick her up yesterday. From the times which I have spoken to her, I would not have known she comes from a well to do family. From the way she relates with your family, I know she also loves your family as well. That's precious. When you told me about your stopping work and her reaction to it, I could not help but be really impressed. Not many gals would react as maturely as she did. Treasure her. The fact that she is now your wife shows the reality of God in your life and just how much He really loves you.

Priscilla,
I think Marcus got the better end of the deal. JUST KIDDING! :) LOL. But seriously, having been friends with Marcus for a number of years now, I can really say that he has a good heart. Sometimes he can 耍小孩子脾气, but he has matured a lot during the years, especially after he started knowing you. What really made me want to befriend him initially was his simplicity as a person. No vice and all that. Because he is such a responsible person, certain issues in life would stress him more compared to other people. But I know you'll understand. And most importantly, he really loves you......

Marcus and Priscilla,
I am really happy for the both of you. It's really heartwarming to see God bring the two of you together and I know He will continue to hold your hearts together for the rest of the journey. He is faithful......

Okay, after all that is said and done, time for me to really have a well deserved rest. Gosh I think I need a holiday or something. :) One final pic to seal the memories for me......

Marcus' And Priscilla's Wedding 30 Jan 2010 Part 4 The Hotel

So after a long day, we came to the wedding dinner part.
Here's our groom looking all comfy

And the bride looking all curled up......

The suite looks really nice......

Dinner time......

Nice pic shown. Sympathize with the cleaner of the gown after the photo shoot man...... :)

    Quite a sizable crowd......

    That's the photographer Gideon.......

That's Zhao Yang, a friend I have not seen in ages......

Champagne wasting time...... Think I should invent something to prevent wastage during the pouring :)

Cool! They had a live band to perform......

That's Priscilla dancing with her dad.

The couple mingling with the guests......
And now, presenting the couple's waltz dance. Never knew my Marcus so cultured...... :) Forgive my recording, did not have the proper video cam......

Marcus' And Priscilla's Wedding 30 Jan 2010 Part 3 The Church

Next, we head to the church......

Not bad. We had our own fun too. The person on the right in Alvin and next to him is Gideon.

Life is never fair. Why do I have to drive while others get to sleep?

Big church hur?

The star of the day and his two 'ka kia'...... :)

Nice right the outside?

Of course the inside too.......

Need I say more?

Okay, now for the real stuff.......

After a long wait, we were finally gonna start the ceremony proper. Marcus stood ready near front pew and I was behind him. My greatest regret was that stupid me did not take any shots of the bride walking in. I can't quite describe the rush of feelings as these few sights were playing right in front of me at the same time......

First, the music was playing. It was Canon in D, the perfect song for the moment.

Next, the choir who were singing for the worship were on the second floor balcony gathering at the edge, looking down and waiting excitedly to see the beautiful walk in with her dad.

Next, the look of a proud dad walking with his daughter to pass her into the arms of a man who will take care of her for the rest of her life.

Finally, the groom standing there with a smile on his face as he watched the woman he so loves walking along the aisle coming to him. The beginning of another chapter of the novel called love......

The couple seated during worship

Making vows and exchange of rings......

In the midst of the ceremony

The highlight of the day...... kiss the girl......

Signing of the marriage certs......

And now, husband and wife......

What a relief...... :)

Marcus' And Priscilla's Wedding 30 Jan 2010 Part 2 The Bride's Place

The morning traffic was good so we did not take too long to reach. The bride's place was really beautiful.
That's Gerald, Priscilla's brother......

A warm welcome into the family.......

The helpers......

Here comes the bride...... She's gorgeous.......

Another shot...... Did I mention that Priscilla looks gorgeous?

Okie, time to head back......

It's hard to tell from the camera, but they look so serious. Lighten up!

Damn those tinted windows. Was hoping to catch a candid shot......

The groom helping the bride with her gown. Wonder will it still happen a few years later? Hint hint Marcus.

Don't remember taking this shot. Never knew I could be so artistic. No lah, think its Ryan who took this.

Next, the tea ceremony......

My goodness, am I good or what. Such a nice shot. Errr, sorry was just admiring my works. :)

    Serving tea to Marcus' grandma......

Love it when they smile like that. So beautiful......

Feeding each other 'tang yuan'. Awww, so sweet......

An incident happened and Marcus' face turned black. Here's Prisci to the rescue......
