My Idol

That's my idol Pierre Goh.

Guess who I bumped into today when I went for a movie? No points awarded but its my idol Pierre Goh. Kind of weird but I bumped into him in the Gents. Then after that I could not resist not getting a photo taken with him. Made my day man.

Movietherapy

Not too sure if I am the first to coin this term but it does sound pretty cool. And I suppose watching movies does help to alleviate symptoms so it can be termed 'Movietherapy'.

Just watched the above movie a while ago and I must say that I enjoyed it. The effects were good and the plot was okay. Kept me at the edge of my seat from time to time. 

Sick Again

Yes I am on mc again. Usual stuff. Viral flu. Glad that it's before CNY. It's funny how I visit my doctor friend and he would comment that it's quite serious and I won't feel much. In fact I was still contemplating to go to work so I won't miss the 'lou hei' today. Anyway, I slept through most of today, which is great since I usually lack sleep. Only thing is that the drugs are making me cranky. I am already having hand tremors from one of the tablets. Not to mention feeling drowsy and all that. Gotta rest well so that I can be up and ready for CNY. Woohoo.......

A Happy Reunion

It's been a while since I have been so happy at an event. Last night I went for my ex-company 'lou hei' which is a yearly event prior to CNY. I do not know whether its a good thing but I noticed a lot of new faces. And the alumni seems to be getting bigger and bigger with a number in the waiting list. :) Seems like some things never change......

Here comes the star of the day, Leng (whom I call Ah Chan) who was the latest of the whole cohort...... The one who stands beside Leng, totally excited at her arrival is Cindy, who was obviously super hungry...... :)

Leng used to be the secretary there. A super capable woman......

This is Kerina. Without exaggerating, she is really one of the MOST hardworking and virtuous woman I have ever come across in my life......

And this is Cindy, a super sociable and nice colleague of mine in JTES......

Think I Need A Pay Raise, A MAJOR ONE!

Despite all my dreams of owning a car, I realised on Saturday that I do not have what it takes to own one, financially. Was meeting my colleagues for high tea at Hilton and I drove into the car park. Think it was wisdom I took a peek at the charges prior to parking. The rates were exorbitant! I decided to drive out to find another car park since I was early. Ended up parking somewhere else which was like one train stop away. Good thing it was Orchard so there was no lack of stuff to look at along the way. Thinking back I should just parked at Hilton since the cash card was topped up by my dad. Damn......

As I walked along, I was thinking to myself all the miscellaneous costs of owning a car apart from paying for the car itself. It was really scary to say the least. Then again, maybe all I need is a pay raise of about 1 to 2k per month. Think that will suffice. Hint hint God......
